Job requirements

What should I be looking for in a new nursing job. What would the number one thing to look for be?

1. Passion. You need to find a job you can care enough about that you will be willing to take the bad with the good. No job will be perfect and you need some driving passion for your work in order to stick it out when times get rough.

2. A supportive work environment. Find a place where your bosses and colleagues are "good people" -- people you can respect and who will treat you fairly. You might not get everything you want, and things may not always go your way ... but if you can respect your colleagues and count on you to treat you with courtesy, respect, and fairness, then you should be grateful.

I think those 2 things are 90% of what you need. The rest are the specifics that should be negotiable in your mind.
