Job applications after resigning during orientation

Published

Long story short, I resigned during the end of orientation from ICU. At the time it just wasn't working, orientation was not going as it should, my preceptor was not the nicest, and I also had a new baby.  Almost a year later and I would like to try to apply for an ICU position again, however I'm having a hard time with my resume/application. I know orientation doesn't count and I haven't listed it on my resume but some applications explicitly ask whether or not I have ICU experience. I don't know what to put. Either way it's a problem. Did I ruin my nursing career?

I personally resigned from my position while still orienting, I applied to another position with the same resume did not add any experience from my recent orientation but during the interview I was honest and clear that I had a previous position for few weeks and resigned due to extra pressure from the management staff, they were fine with it and did not even question it,I got the new job position thank you God.

So just apply as you did it the first time, then if asked be honest.
