James A Haley va hospital MICU

Published

I would like to know how is it to work at JAH MICU. I am looking forward to work there. thanks. Any good things to say?.

I am doing my clinicals for the BSN program at the University of South Florida at James A Haley VA hospital. This semester, I am in the Spinal Cord Unit. So far, all of the nurses that I have asked about working for the VA have LOVED it. So far no negatives reported. From a student standpoint, I love that the nurses are all willing to show us what they are doing and let us step in when we are allowed to. So far the VA looks to be a great place to work.

Hi, I'm actually starting the BSN accelerated program at USF and was interested in hearing from someone who has experience at the VA. I know this post is over a year old, so I'm curious to find out if you ended up working at the VA? I won't know where my clinical placement is until next Friday at orientation, but I had hoped to get in at James Haley if this is one of the placement sites. Any insight or advice you have if you're still on this forum would be much appreciated! Thanks!
