Hello,
My name is Tammy and I'm 42 yrs old. I am currently a CNA and have been for 7 yrs. I started out wanting to be a nurse never intending to use my CNA as it was only a prerequisite for nursing school. Several things prevented me from reaching my goal then. I had cancer and am clear five yrs out. But probably more than anything else fear of not being able to do it. But it still burns in my heart....i want to be a nurse. I'm scared, but I have to try. So....I look to start this march 2017. (the reason I'm so scared of failing..... I dropped out of school in the 8 the grade... Got my GED in 2009 I love to learn but its so fast paced and I have a lot of gaps) anyone similar to me out there who's made it? I would really love to hear about your journey.

Hi Tammy, congratulations to you and in making your decision. I myself am in the process of taking the steps to get into nursing. I've decided to go the same route, LPN, for now. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted. :)

Hello Tammy!! Congratulations! I'm also starting the LPN program early next year. I'm nervous but excited. I'm currently working full time as a CNA in a nursing home and praying I can make it through while working full time. Not to mention I'm a mother of 4. I know it's not going to be easy but I'm going for it because I have a deep passion for nursing. The one thing I did hear about it is study study study. You got this!! Again congrats!
Thank you and good luck to you as well. It would be nice to hear how things go for you.
Well it's sounds like you have your hands full. I talked to a nurse the other day who recently finished lpn school work similar circumstances. She said its tough but its doable. So here we go .í ½í¸Š Let me know how it goes.
