M a tech in an ER. The other night there were 18 people in our waiting room and one had chest pain so I took him back for an EKG. Usually we would do the EKG and they would wait to see the doctor for results, but this one was having an acute MI, so I went and found the doctor right away. Anyway, the doctor, three nurses, and I worked on him until he left for the cardiac cath lab(all I do is find an old EKG, shave and prep him and make sure he is on a cardiac monitor)

Anyway, now to my point: we each got an email from out director saying how we did a great job. It also gave us the stats on the patient, who had his stents placed and is stable and going home soon.

Sometimes it's nice to get a pat on the back and get some recognition for a job well done :)
