It's not always about you - a mini rant

So, why is it that some folks here always seem to have to interject their woes into threads. Consistently, it's about them. Talking about any aspect of pt care and there's a post (often from the same "usual suspects") about their issue(s).

I won't name names but you know who you are. Or maybe not.

Mini rant over.

I agree. It's not about them. It's all about ME!!!! :p

They want to vent too.

We draw upon our own feelings and experiences to formulate answers and give opinions...it's who we are and what makes us unique

I give you points for using the word "boor" in the tags. LOL.

Personally, if it doesn't interest me I move on. I definitely do not linger on whether or not someone else is adding their woe is me to a thread:twocents:

You took the words right outta my mouth lol.

Maybe it's one person's way of trying to show that they understand what the poster is going through. They could be trying to show support and letting that person know that they are not alone with the issue.:aln:

Yeah, it's one thing to share an experience that relates to the OP while adding to the conversation, but there are certain posters that tend to hijack threads a lot.

Reporting the threads is always an option.... if it's inappropriate.

Or a PM to them, quietly letting them know how it came across- may find out some other reason for the personal info...

All that any of us has is our own experience- whether personal or what we gain in our careers :)

i 'think' op is saying that one doesn't always have to relay their personal experiences.

it's very feasible to advise w/o (frequently/always) anecdotal experiences.
