So the distance education ones require no campus visits....but I've looked and looked and can't figure out the difference between a "hybrid course" and a "blackboard" course?
thanks

In your descriptive title above you mentioned ISU. I do not know what a hybrid or blackboard courses are. ISU is a distant learning program in which you study and take exams independently. However, each week there are goals to be met, reading to be done, discussion boards to post or tests to be taken. You take these exams or submitted information via blackboard. You will be interacting with other students via blackboard also. The only difference between the ISU distant learning nursing program is you do not drive to the university and take up space in lecture class. You will be required to take clinicals for those courses that have a clinical aspect, and those clinicals are to be taken in an authorized facility in your area.
No I get that. My question relates to when you are registering for classes...some are distance learning others say blackboard courses. Just wanted to make certain I'm not signing up for a class that might be internet based PLUS occasional campus visits LOL...not with the price of gas right now, i'm not driving anywhere I dont absolutely have to :)
If you are talking about ISU distant learning nursing classes they are all taught on line and use Blackboard as a source of exchanging info to and from the professor and the students. If the didactic course has a clinical, that clinical is done in a facility close to your location, or in a location you prefer and the facility accepts to be involved with your ISU clinical.
