Can someone knowledgeable of the Reserves give me a brief summary of the PROs and CONs? I'm pursuing the public health officer role in the Air Force (since I possess a master of public health degree), but there aren't nearly as many opportunities for this role as there are for nurses (I'm a RN with the BSN too). I am considering either the Air Force or Navy reserves (if such a thing exists) as a way to gain additional experience and earn some additional income. I like structure and being a part of something that is bigger/greater than myself. Plus, I'm single and I wouldn't mind seeing the world. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I am an Army Reserve Nurse. I serve as a member of a Combat Support Hospital. Nurses take on differently roles in different settings based on the branch of the Military. I don't see mention of the Army Reserves in your post, but if you would like information about the Army Reserves, please let me know.
