honestly, atlanta is over saturated with transplants which makes employment in all areas pretty competitive. therefore salaries are comprimised big time. unless you live in midtown, you will need a car. with the car comes the note, insurance and this awful ga velorim tax. then if you live within the city limits, you have a city tax and sales tax which is about 8%. however, if you go to georgia.gov, you can find all of this information.
atlanta is nothing like nyc in the least bit.
i am just wondering if the staffing is good at emory. also, in nyc i am being taxed 3x every paychecks because i work in manhattan. if you get paid 25$/hr in georgia, what is your net pay...why or without 401k,medical, dental? i need to get an idea in order to decide if i should move to atlanta or not. thanks guys!
