Is RN or NP required for opening own medspa in California?

Which one is required in California for opening your own medspa? I know you need an MD to sign on, but do you yourself need to be a nurse practitioner to have your own practice in your own medspa? Or is just RN fine?

It is not legal for an MD to simply "sign on". Don't forget in the state of CA you have to have an NP, PA or Dr. perform the initial assessment. This document will answer most of your questions.
