I know that this may be a "dumb" question, but if someone works ICU/CCU prn, Is this still considered the recommended experience? Or does the schools require full-time experience only? All responses are welcome.

you may want to check with the school. PRN could mean alot of different things. for example are you doing 1 weekend month, 3 or 4 days a week. ect...
most schools i believe want atleast a year of fulltime experience. when your doing it almost every day is where your gonna really learn. doing it once or 3 or 4 times a month usually doesnt cut it.
so i would check with the school, some schools might do things a little differently

Both I applied to required FT ICU experience of minimum 1 year. Also, at TCU (where I am going!) the CCRN was required and in order to sit for it you must be at beside basically FT for a year anyway (around 2000 hours).
