I am going to be looking for work hopefully starting this summer, and often see job posting for dialysis center like Davita.
I would be applying as phlebotomy/patient care tech type positions.
Reading about dialysis centers sounds interesting. I would like to work someplace where I can follow a patient and their family for an extended period of time. My kids get infusions monthly and I love having the same nurses/staff, getting to know them and knowing they know my family personally.
But, i am only familiar with infusion clinics, and only from the patients side of view. What is it about dialysis clinics that is so bad? Ive been reading and see so many posts about wanting to get out, hating it, its awful....what is it about it that is so bad? Im curious.
Not that I get much choice....if I apply for work, and get in someplace like this, I need the work so I cant be too picky. Im just curious about why so many dislike this type of workplace.
