Sorry, I can't help cuz I didn't go through LMC for my degree, but I did go there for prereqs,and I got really excited to see Pittsburg on here! Lol. Good luck with the program! Just know, things always work out somehow.

First, CONGRATULATIONS!! I admire anyone who can get through this with small children at home -- It'll be tough, but totally doable with the right mindset.

I start my second year at LMC this Tuesday. Thursdays and Fridays are clinical days, so are typically the longest days. Most of the clinical instructors keep you until at least 2:30, so when you get home depends on the hospital you've been assigned to and how far it is from where you live. We spent the first 3-4 weeks at school Tue-Fri and then we started clinicals the 4-5th week. After this you go to class Tue and Wed then go to assigned hospital to prep for clinicals on Wed after class, and attend clinicals Thursday and Friday.

Our class was divided into 4 clinical groups of 9-11 people that the instructors chose -- you get absolutely no say in where you will be assigned. The hospitals were Sutter Delta in Antioch, Antioch Kaiser Medical Center, County Hospital in Martinez, and John Muir in Walnut Creek. Each group went to two hospitals during the first semester -- each for 6-7 weeks. This could all easily change though because the class before us had a slightly different set-up. The schools have to go to whichever hospitals are willing to take their students that year. You are only allowed to miss two clinical days, and the instructors are very strict about this.

Well, this got a bit longer than I intended, but basically you just need to be very flexible and able to manage time fairly well to get through the program. It's no cake walk. That said, the school and the instructors are great, and you can do anything you set your mind to :-)
