Hello,
I've also been accepted, and I'm soooo excited! I've heard good things and bad things about the school, so I guess it's one of those situations where you just have to see for yourself, you know? I'm just hoping for the best. I'm sure the education can't be that bad, I mean the school has been around for years, right? Good luck!
Hi there, Im currently attending Western Career College as a 2nd term student. I started in September of '08 at the San Leandro campus and I really enjoy the LVN program there. We just got a new building and new simulator labs. Im not sure if when I finish there I will seek out the RN at their campus in Sacramento or elsewhere but Im definitely glad I chose to start out at this school. If you have any questions about your first term let me know. Congrats on getting in and good luck.
Believe it or not but a and p does get easier. I maintained an A in that class and Im in no way proficient in the sciences. I suck. What I did was make flash cards for key terms and read the chaperts two or three times. For me that really helped because the second time around I noticed I was absorbing the information more than I thought and I made side notes for clarification. Keep your old tests with the correct answers written on them (he let's u keep them) because ALL of the test questions will be on the final. I can't do large study groups because it gets too chaotic and their generally unorganized, so I partnered up with one other student and we study together on the phone. We've had the highest grades in our class- and that's not bragging, because Ive never really been a disciplined student... But it really did help to keep the study group simple. I hope this helps. Don't forget to keep your tests. If you have anymore questions let me know.
