Is there anyone who is attending the Hohokus LPN Program?

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Im currently attending Hohokus in Hackensack NJ. Im taking the lpn program and is only in my first module and i want to pull all of my hair out. It seems as though other students have the same feelings. Im just curious to know if there is anyone who have done the program at Hohokus in Hackensack, and what was your experience like? I have searched the threads and everything was pretty old.

There are instructors that I absolutely love :redbeathe! You can tell that they love being nurses and care about their students. Then you have those who can really care less . I feel like I'm a burden to them!!! Im babbling now so if there is anyone out there who can add or share experiences i would appreciate. Any advice on how to succeed in a school where its crammed course in a short period and there isn't much support in the school would be so helpful. Thanx to all

hi, i applied to the hohokus school in hackensack for the lpn program and i wanted to know how did you prepare for the practice test that they give before you take the real exam?

Hi, Yea im in the LPN Program in the evening. and to be quite honest its the biggest mistake ever... the teachers are horrible!! Its like they want you to fail. everything has gone wrong with this program...i failed medsurge so ill be taking medsurge now in may. are you in the day or in the evening spiritualist?

Hello,

I am wondering what is making you want to rip your hair out? It sounds like you really like most of the instructors, and the school...The instructors that don't really care, are the hardest to work with unfortunately. Besides their bad attitude, are they making it difficult for you to learn the material? What about the tutoring if this is the case? Sorry to be asking so many questions, but if I could give you some kind of solution, I am happy to help.

I am also wondering about the TEAS test at the school. I am really interested in the LPN program and want to get in!!! This is the best school for me from what I have looked into.

I called the school yesterday to ask about what version of the TEAS I would be taking, and I was told V3 and that there is NO SCIENCE to study for???!!! Is this right??!! Wouldn't it be important for the school to know if you have knowledge in science if you are looking to go to school to be a nurse?? Hey, I am not complaining because it is one less thing to worry about, but it makes no sense to me. :banghead:

I am currently studying for the TEAS exam and taking it next week. If anyone has taken the exam there recently, please let me know!!!! I am confused on what I should be studying exactly and what to expect. My math is really weak and I am doing what I can to prepare myself for this.

I actually used ATI TEAS V to study for the placement test and it worked out good for me. I am very nervous, yet excited because I really want to start school as soon as possible. I purchased the the McGraw Hill Nursing Entrance Exam book last night, which was highly recommended on here. I think both books are really good.

Someone else on here told me that V3 is going to be phased out. I don't know if I should go and get the V3 book if I do not have to study science. I did get a look at the table of contents in the ATI V3 study book, and most of it is in V5.

I have never been so confused!!!

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out!!

So did you pass and how is the school I am researching schools right now and this one seems to be one of the best so far and if you did get in which I hope you did how is the program

HI

I am taking the Teas next week at this school . I am very nervous about it .:uhoh3: I have been studying for a while now . I was initially told the test was version 3.0 . When I went to pay for the test I was told it was version 5 . What a waste of time , all that studying . I purchased a new book and is scheduled next week . Any feedback from anyone who has recently taken the exam . I am glad there is no Science on the exam . I plan on attending the day classes . I hear mixed reviews on the school . Some good and some bad . I guess it depends on the student and what you make out of it .

How was the test did you get in? What did you use to study? Did you like the school when you visited?

Thank you in advance for any info
