Introducing NursingCAS 3.0

Hi,

Has anybody used the new Nursing Cas 3.0 application? They just put it up on October 15, 2015. I was thinking about tackling it this weekend. Any suggestions would be great.I am applying to UTHSCSA, San Antonio, Tx.

Thanks,

R.Ward

I'm planning on applying to UTHSCSA as well (Fall 2015). This is my last semester of required courses, but I still need to take the TEAS exam. I actually had nearly everything filled out for NursingCAS, but they switched to this new application, and nothing appears to transfer over, which means I'll have to do it all over again, heh...oh well.

You need to go into the application and print off a Transcript Request Form for every college you've ever attended (this includes each of the different Alamo Colleges, if you went to any of them), fill out what you need to fill out, and go hand it to the registrar or whoever issues transcripts. It must be sent by the school directly to NursingCas, and can't be a "student copy".

The long part is manually entering each and every single course you've ever taken, which is in the "Academic History" > "Transcript Entry" part. I guess you'll need a copy of your own transcripts for you to reference while filling it out. I've got my transcripts, though one of them isn't current because it doesn't include this semester's classes, so that's pending.

I've got the study guide for the TEAS, but I'll probably start studying sometime around Thanksgiving and take it at the end of December/early January...during winter break so I don't have other classes to be working on.

That's about all I've got to offer. There's an FAQ on the site for whatever else you might need. Good luck!
