Intro/osap question/ CONESTOGA COLLEGE

Hi Everyone :)

I just recieved my letter of acceptance a last week, RPN @ Conestoga, they pulled me in off the waitlist! (the waitlist is a cold cold place lol)

I applied for osap before I was accepted but I havent recieved my notice of assesment yet.... just wondering what the typical wait is for that? Cant help but feel impatient! The financial aide office told me that osap was late coming out with the application this year and things are all backed up!

Anyway, it would be great to make some friends here, maybe even some who might join me in the fall at Conestoga!

Any advice from year 2 students would be appreciated.

Whats the homework situation like?

I have some random information for you. (Previous Mac Student, Sep 09 RPN, Not @ Conestoga)

From what i heard, since Conestoga is affiliated with McMaster/Mohawk.

You may be watching some lectures online that are given @ Mac, i know the BScN Nurses there have a REALLY tough 1st year Anatomy/Physio Course in which there are 400+ students. Nurses usually end up getting the lowest marks in that course (talked to prof), there is a tough bellringer also, not sure if you will be talking that course.

Just FYI.

Hey thanks for the heads up

I did notice that the phy/anatamy coorifice is on line. I wasnt sure what that was all about, but I bet watching an online lecture is boring!

Whats a bellringer? (hope that isnt a dumb question!)

A bellringer is when you every student (even @ conestoga) in the course goes to a physical lab with specimens and have timed stations where they need to identify pieces of anatomy. It is very grilling, the only way to do good in that class is rote memorize the anatomy lectures.
