i am a lpn in the state of connecticut currently going toschool to get my rn. i have an assignment for one of my classes to interviewsomeone working in the field that i want to work in. i thought i waould ask myquestions on here to get as many answers as i can. i am especially interestedin people working in pediatrics but i really want answers from people workingin all kinds of nursing fields.
1. what made you want to be a nurse?
2. what field of nursing are you working in?
3. what made you choose this field?
4. what state do you live in?
5. what is the best part of being a nurse?
6. what is the worst part of being a nurse?
7. if you had it to do over again would you still choosenursing?
8. is there anything you wish you had been told in nursingschool that you could share with me?
9. any recommendations for someone starting out?

Perhaps I should clarify my goal. I have already done my personal interview. what I was hoping to gain here is a general idea of what fields people worked in and what they liked or disliked about their jobs, and words of advice for future nurses. We have to do a powerpoint for the project and I thought it would be something nice to include for the other students in my class who aren't already nurses. I am already a nurse so I have some idea of what I am getting into, but even for myself it would be nice to know how others feel about their field of nursing. I was also wondering if geographical area played any part in job satisfaction. So what I was hoping for here was a wide sample range to draw data from.
