Interview questions for CNA/PCT Position

I have been interviewing for CNA/PCT positions, and with my type A personality I like to be very prepared for the interview. I have been scouring the web for interview questions to prep with, but have found very little. So, I though I would post up some of the ones I have been asked in recent interviews.

Tell me a little about yourself?

What are your strengths?

What is a weakness of yours?

Tell me about a time when you used your strengths to accomplish something at work?

Tell me about a time you found a safety issue at work, and what did you do to correct it?

What is the best way to describe a very technical procedure to a patient's family member?

What positive attributes will you bring to this unit?

Tell me about a time you were a positive role model at work?

It is close to the end of your shift and you are asked to get vitals on a patient, help prep a patient for surgery, and help an 83 year old patient go the bathroom. What order do you complete the tasks?

Tell about a time when you worked with a patient resisting care?

I will say that you can't FULLY prepare yourself for an interview. I've had many within hospitals for a PCT position and it varies just about night/day with many of the nurse managers. The one that always got me was *What is your weakness and how can you improve on this?* Another question that you may need to be prepared for is *How did you deal with an issue at work with another co-worker* *Why did you apply for this unit* *Where do you see yourself in 5 years*

Again the questions you have provided are the main ones they ask you. It's very important to figure out their personality. Be respectful, but make sure that your personality allows you to stand out from the other candidates.
