Hi can anyone please help me find a school in montreal quebec canada that offers LPN courses to english students??

Also i would like to inquire on how to roll from certified nursing assisstant to a licensed practical nurse and how long is the course usually??.. please reply asap if you can help i really really need the 411 on this. Thank you!

I have been looking in a LPN program here in QC and have found that many of the school boards offer this program tuition free or almost free. The course is called Health, Assistance and Nursing (DVS) with the subtitle of LPN, so perhaps QC is trying to change the verbage to match the rest of Canada. It is a 1800hr course.

You can check the Lester B. Person School board vocational training site http://www.pearsonskills.com;

the Sir Wilfred Laurier School Board http://bilingualtraining.ca/en/Programs_41/items/10.html,

the Lennoxville Training Center http://www.lvtc.ca/programs/health-assistance , just to name a few.

Some will allow you to do upgrading with them in maths, English etc at the same time you start the course, if you don't have all the prerequisits.

I have put a call into one of the schools and am awaiting a call back with all the particulars.

Good luck.
