Firstly I must say thank you to a lot of people here. Everytime i feel devastated i will come here. Really helped me a lot!
And pls forgive me all the grammar errors cause I have been here for only 9 month. I know there's a lot of international nurses trying hard to pass Nclex. Wish my experience could help them.
I'm a BSN.I took my test Dec 22nd.It shut off at 250+.My whole study band is 3 months..the first 2 month I was studying medical english basically by go over whole Saunders. The 3rd month, I used Kaplan. I did all the q banks and the mean score was 54. my readiness test was 66 and q trainer5 I just did 50 questions (Cause I don't have enough time to do all the q trainers) and the correction rate was 68%.I kept on taking memory cards, on which i wrote all the things i need to remember(like AKA intervention, meningitis sym...) the wk b4 the test, I went over the whole kaplan content review which i think was really helped a lot, and all the memory cards.I just wish i could have time to go over the 2nd time of kaplan book.
and i have to say, for me ,saunders for the 1st time content review is really important. cause kaplan's content review is highly summarized.
There's another thing i think is very important---the emotional status during the test. during my test, I feel i totally screwed up. every question was about a familiar disease but the aspect i was tested was so unfamiliar. So i just kept on telling myself that whatever i pass or not, i need to focus on each question to do the best i can. and it really made a difference and made me more acute during the test.
i tried PVT with a visa prepaid gift card when i got home and it has a good popup.
today i saw my name on bon
so i know i passed.
hope my experience is helpful:)
