Interested in Traveling

I am interested in traveling, but I'm not sure where to begin. I have completed one year of a two-year contract with my employer (they paid for my education) and, therefore, will have two years of experience on an orthopedics/urology medical-surgical unit. Odds are, I'm going to relocate to NYC for graduate school (I lived there for five years prior to nursing school). Is it possible to only request ortho and rehab assignments AND work regularly? Any opinions on White Glove? A friend of a friend is working for them and he seems to be having a positive experience. THANKS!

Aaaaaaaaaany input on my initial thread? : ) I imagine, if I'm willing to travel to just about anywhere, I could work exclusively in ortho, right? Thoughts? THANKS!

My best advice is do some research on agencies and pick one or several to apply to. I have been travel nursing for just one year and have worked with AMN, Cross Country and Nurses RX. Once recruiters start calling they can help with all your other questions. I started traveling with only 14 months experience in PICU and have not had trouble finding positions in my specialty sometimes it is a bit difficult to find one in the area I'm looking for, but the right recruiter can really help with this. Hope this helps!

I imagine most large/larger cities have at least a couple of hospitals with ortho units. If you multiply that by 20 to 25 cities, I Imagine someone is looking for a nurse at any given time. Thanks and have a wonderful fall/winter holiday season!
