I'm taking a poll for a project we will be doing and need to get your input on scrubs.

So...for those of you who wear scrubs, what is your brand(s) of choice and why?

Comfort?

Price?

Required brand where you work?

Durability?

Variety of colors (or do you have to wear a specific color?

Antimicrobial?

Stain resistance?

Anything else......

Thanks for your help.

Grey's Anatomy ....for comfort and because they have more shape than a potato sack. I like the wide variety of colors, as well.

I like potato sacks because they don't show off my terrific bulges...

Cherokee- because Belinda buys them for me.

Like Sour Lemon , Belinda wears Grey's.

Brand: WonderWink tops and bottoms

Comfort: Normal. After a few months of washes, they get a little bit more soft.

Price: $44 for a top and special order tall bottom

Required brand where you work: No required brand

Durability: Excellent, only ripped one in three years of wearing this brand. I used to tear up Cherokee brand.

Variety of colors (or do you have to wear a specific color): Navy blue because it's required for RNs.

Antimicrobial: No

Stain resistance: No

Anything else: I love the pocket layout of both the top and bottom. The pant's cargo pocket is tight against the leg, it doesn't flop all over the place once I put in a few NS flushes. It really great to have found a brand and style number that I like, because it makes re-ordering so much easier. They aren't stylish, but neither am I, really.

Gray's Anatomy: The color is Ciel Blue, which is a required work color. These scrubs are made from a nice material. I am picky about fabrics; many of the cheapy scrubs are made from a stiff "boardy" texture material.

It comes in small sizes and is tailored enough to give some shaping while allowing full freedom of movement.

After wearing this brand for years, it is durable and washes well. Hung up straight from the dryer, no ironing is needed.

I don't care about price. When your entire working wardrobe fits into a large shopping bag and lasts for years, even expensive scrubs are a bargain. I will pay for quality.

Brand? Med Couture because I bought a pair of their scrub pants (I worked at a hospital that required nurses to wear white tops and maroon pants) and I really like the way they fit.

Comfort? Fits my body type (round), soft material

Price? 25 for pants 20-25 ish for tops?

Required brand where you work? Nope

Durability? I have some that I have been wearing for 3-4 years

Variety of colors (or do you have to wear a specific color? Variety, but all solids. I'm not much for the prints.

Antimicrobial? Nah.

Stain resistance? Not really, I seem to stain them every time I wear them (I guess I am a sloppy eater, but only at work and only in my scrubs because I don't have that problem with any other clothing I wear). I work at a school so I am not exposed as often to bodily fluids compared to when I worked in the hospital.

Specializes in oncology, MS/tele/stepdown.

I just get Walmart scrubs and wear them until they get holes. Last brand I bought was Scrubstar pants, and they feel like pajamas. $18 each. I didn't buy them for durability as they are for a travel contract.

I always go for comfort and fit! I don't care about the price. I worked an office job prior to changing careers and I spend less now than I did then. My favorite brand is Heart Soul and I def. wear them the most. I also like Koi and Greys.

I am in the process of buying new scrubs for a new job- I have about 6 different brands/styles I can pick from that come with the required monogrammed logo and I'm disappointed that Heart Soul isn't one of them.

Color isn't an issue since I have to wear navy blue. I found the Heart Soul scrubs wear well over time- over a year of washing my current ones and there hasn't been any fading. I have a couple white Heart Soul tops and I can typically get pen marks out with some rubbing alcohol and a little blotting before washing.

Even though these can be somewhat pricey if not purchased while on sale, I like Urbane Scrubs for the feminine fit, soft texture, comfort and durability.

Love me some Greys Anatomy...like Sour Lemon said they are super soft and comfy, and fit nicely. Don't really care about the other stuff. Koi is good too for the same reasons.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

Dickies for durability and price, with occasional Cherokee purchases. At one time liked Uniform Advantage's Soft Scrubs, but decided the pants had pockets that were too shallow. Absolutely avoid all the brands with hefty price tags.
