Info on some ny hospitals, please

Hi everyone! I'm going to be interviewing at some hospitals, and I was hoping some of you could give me some info on what it is like to work at them, orirentation for new grads, salary. They are Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, Harlem Hospital, White Plains Hospital, and Sound Shore in New Rochelle.

Also, does anyone find this odd: I went to a career fair last week. New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation was there, but I didn't know at the time which hopitals were part of it. I gave my resume to the nurse there, and she told me "the doctor" would call me. Then the doctor gets off his cellphone long enough to say, "you'll have an interview next wednesday, you'll get the job." I was like, ok, but where? He said, we'll talk about that when I call you. Then the nurse says, "You don't even need to go to these other hospitals, you'll get this job." They left me several messages over the next few days(I couldn't answer, I was at work). Then in the last message the doctor says he already scheduled me an appt. at Harlem Hosp. So I'm going on Wednesday, but I thought it was odd for them to be so persistent, most hospitals want me to call them and show my interest! I wonder if they are hard up for nurses. If anyone knows abt Harlem hosp, orientation, salary, etc., pls let me know. Sorry this is so long!
