Hello! I am new here, and really hoping to get some advice on my education situation. Looks like I have next to no chances to get into Ivy Tech, I keep getting "B"s in anatomy and not sure how good the teas is going to "treat" me, I am a foreigner after all, so the English part might kill the score. Bottom line, what should I look into next? I need a school that is not outrageously expensive , yet not awfully competitive, and accredited. I stumbled upon IWU website, and spoke with then briefly on the phone. They do not sound too bad, but I don`t know how to get more REAL info, you know. Is their diploma "welcomed" by most hospitals? Does anyone know anything about the total cost? I keep hearing different numbers on this website, but they said it is around 10 grand a year... Is there another school that would be a better fit for me? I m just desperate to get any kind of advice!!!! Please help!

IWU is not a diploma school. They have two different tracks in becoming a Registered Nurse. First there is the TTN (Transition to Nursing) program. This program is designed for those who already have a Bachelor’s degree in a different field, but who have decided to return to school for a BSN degree. Then there is the traditional BSN program. The school is CCNE accredited, so there are no problems there. I pay about $525.00 per credit hour for my courses. The school is much more than $10,000 per year. It’s a good school. I attend IWU.
Well I am still learning more about all the terminology, it s very different in US. So there is no diploma? Do other nursing colleges offer them? Does it matter if you have a diploma or not? And do you think their...well whatever it is (certificate?...) accepted in other states? Thanks so much
p.s. so how many credits are there (for traditional Bachelors from scratch)?
