Has anyone enrolled or completed the program offered for California LVN's at Indiana/Sonoma online program? How are clinicals arranged? Do you recommend this program or any online program or are you only likely to be hired as an RN if you went the traditional classroom route? Any advice/input is welcomed and appreciated:)

Your question has been asked and answered many times; go to the ISU thread. There are many from allnurses who are attending. Make sure your state BON will accept the ISU distant learning program. I am in the program and have answered many questions that are very similar to yours. As far as likely to be hired as an RN--you are taking a LPN to BSN program. It is no different from a regular classroom course except you are taking the didactic portion on line. Your clinicals are arranged by ISU the area near (or far) from your home. This is the difference from Excelsior which does not have corresponding clinicals with the didactic portion. When you sit for your NCLEX you are on the same level as anyone else and your license will have no restrictions. The one difference when you get your license is you will have your BSN not ADN--this does make a difference, especially for those hospitals who want magnet status.
