would love to, but what exactly would u be doiing as an independent contractor? Is this something u would do traveling? or what?

Bail ship!! Unless you can find a 'gross negligence insurance' for which you cannot!! Perhaps you do not know the legal complications nurses run into, gee, wonder if anyone does?? But, honestly...you are at risk and even more so when you take on being independent. The states are not behind nurses, if by chance you find yourself in the system...more than likely...you will be screwed. Think about looking into how many nurses have lost their license for no fault of their own. The truth gets blurry when you only get pieces of the whole puzzle. The state does not divulge the truth, their job is to protect the community and it would appear to the community as though that is what they are doing...but, it is not!!! Allied Health Professionals do not get fair representation, so, unless you can get that insurance, think twice!

I am planning on doing my own travel contracts and cutting out the middle man (my agency). I need advice on rates and types of contracts. I know there are alot of nurses who are doing this with success. I just need advice to get started.
