im a fresher in the Uni of Liverpool, and im only just starting really ive only done blood pressure and BLS so far and im about to do asepsis, and ive really enjoyed it so far...

but...

people keep telling me what nursing is supposed to be like but they make it out to be a bit bad and im worried now. i feel like i was born to nurse (its what i do best naturally without the technicality) but now im doubting it because of the amount of people i have heard moaning about it. could be that ive just been given a load of info in a very short space of time!

have you got any tips or advice for me and my classmates?

thanks! :)

Nursing isn't easy...I'll be graduating in May and it's been a long road. My best advice to you is find a friend or two to stick close to. There will be good times, frustrating times and very stressful times in nursing school. I've met a lot of nurses that are very satisfied with their career choice and I think you just have to make the right decision for you as to what type of nursing you want to get into and what facility or hospital to work for. Hope that helps.

thats the best advice ive had being honest with you. im lucky that the people i have made friends with are amazing people and we are all coming into this with only the basic knowledge. i know exactly what i want to do and where i want to go with this degree so thats kinda good too. im just worried that i wont be able to handle the pressure - that is literally how some people have made me feel about it. i dont want to feel like that at all though.

thanks! :nuke:
