Im completely confused..FL schools HELP!

Published

Okay in my searching for schools I've confused myself. My overall goal is to get a BSN. Im currently in a LPN program in Orlando. Can some clarify if I do a lpn bridge program at say Valencia can I sign up for the concorrent BSN with UCF? im looking for the cheapest fastest way to a BSN. Any suggestions?

Hi. I am not sure if you can apply for Valencia/UCF concurrent if you go the LPN-RN track. You might want to call or email the Valencia Health Sciences advising department regarding that question. I am currently on the wait list for the RN generic track and plan to apply for UCF concurrent. Another route you can take is do UCF Basic BSN, but you will have to start from scratch (even if you're an LPN) and I heard it is really competitive to get in. Whichever way you choose, good luck to you.

Ahhhhh Thanks makes sense. For the generic track how long is it? you have to have pre reqs before getting in So would it then make it like a 3 to 3.5 year program which is why you can do the concurrent and graudates with the bsn like 1-2 semesters later. Lol it clicked. Hmmmm decisions decisions.

If I'm not mistaken, Valencia has 5 semesters of Nursing (combining Nursing 5 and 6 into the final semester). It took me over a year to complete all my prereqs. FYI, Valencia and UCF concurrent have different GPA and TEAS V score requirements. I also forgot to mention that you can also do LPN to RN first then do the RN to BSN at UCF. It takes a bit longer, but the outcome will be the same.

Lol I just checked and noticed it took longer to bridge Asn to bsn. I have my pre reqs I need to take micro bio. Im thinking once im a RN asn I can find a 12 month online bsn program somewhere lol baby steps im not even a LPN yet. Im way to excited trying to plan this
