Illinois State University ABSN

Hello, everyone. I'm applying to ISU's ABSN program and I would really appreciate any feedback from anyone who has been accepted in previous years. Honestly, I've read the program details over a thousand times, so at this point, I would really just like to be realistic about my chances of being accepted. I graduated from ISU last May and it would be amazing to go back.

Anyway, my prerequisite GPA is a 3.8, but my cumulative undergrad GPA was only a 3.1. I also have all of my prerequisites done, which I know is a plus for them. Anyone who has been accepted: did you all have just amazing undergrad and prereq GPAs? Was anyone in the same boat with a low cumulative and high prereq? I'm also a CNA, but I'm almost positive they don't actually care.

If you wouldn't mind sharing your academic profile(ish) if you were accepted, that would be wonderful. Thank you so much in advance!

I was wait listed with only one of the pre-reqs done and an undergrad GPA of 3.7. I've also heard they want your pre-reqs done or in progress, they really care about the essays, and I think it even says on their website that it helps to be a CNA. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing! One of my girlfriends that was accepted said that when she talked to an advisor, they said they get so many applicants that they never have to even look past GPAs and prerequisites so they don't actually bother looking at CNA status or essays. I just think my cumulative is bringing me down, so I am hoping the prerequisite completion and grades are their priority. Anyway, thanks again!
