Any opinions on chicago states nursing program? What about the hospital closest to it?

they accept only for the spring. The class that you take the semester before you get into the actual program is the one that you are taking in the fall the bridge I (used to be called nursing 091). You will do the application for the school of nursing in this class.........

This class isn't hard, this is the class that you take all of the required tests: TEAS, nelson denny Reading etc... you are get class work but they kind depends on the instructor you get. I have Dr. Busch and she had us doing summaried from chapters in some book every week.......

i am going to take the kids out before bed, I will be back on here to answer anymore questions but entrance is based on gpa, science gpa, and the number of classes you took at the chicago. If you have a good gpa and all prereqs are complete then don't worry about the classes at csu because I transfered there too without any classes taken there and I got in my gpa was a 3.67 be back in 20 mins

My gpa from my first BS is not that great, and that's why I am worried. I took a lot of advance Chemistry and Biology and the adviser seemed to like that, but my commulative sux! Then, I was reading all the requirements and said that if you have BS degree, you can be considered with a 2.0 and above gpa *confused*. I took some classes that I didn't take during my first BS at a community college and doing a lot better, hopefully that would help. And I also took the TEAS last January for another BSN program and received a 81%, is that average? The adviser said they don't take TEAS from another institution and she said she's going to check if I can do that. Either way, I guess I can try to score better and it would be an advantage for me since I already know the format of the test.

Now, when I sign in to register, it already tells me that my major is nursing. Does that mean I am in it? I'm confused because the other university that I went to uses the same system and it only tells you that you're in the program if you were admitted in the program. When I was undecided, it said UNDECIDED and when I finally declared my major, it said Major in BIOLOGY.

I registered in her class so I will be having her too! So she gives a lot of work huh?

she make sure you work in her class. this class is a pass fail course.

anyway.... your major is nursing that is why you are there and why when you sign in it says nursing. you are in the pre-professional component. You can't go into the professional component until you get acceptance into the program. do you have all the pre-reqs done? Are you attending now or will fall be your first semester? If so make sure you get your degree evaluation so you can see exactly what you need because if something is missing they won't accept you in until all is complete and they won't tell you till then so you have to be on top of your own paper work.

the good thing you got going for you is that gpa from other schools don't transfer. When you take class there, youwill have a new fresh start with the gpa for csu. Your science gpa however will be calculated based off of what you have completed from the other school.

do all pre reqs have to be complete before you even apply? does any one know the deadline for this coming up application period

you have to have all nursing prereqs completed prior to getting into the program. They select only in the Fall for a spring start to the professional component. you don't fill the application or even receive it until you are enrolled in the bridge I class where you do all your tests, application, etc.

I'm finishing up two prereqs this semester and this summer I will be taking nutrition and maybe a CNA class. In the fall I will only be taking the BRIDGE I.

Ok well, lemme know how everything goes.
