I turned in my resignation yesterday. I'm leaving my job I had for the past 3 years. I'm not sure yet what I want to do, if I want to go back into the Medical Assisting work, Medical Admin or School Nursing again. Or hell, maybe go back to school for LVN.
I had an issue with my principal since Spring Break and this month another issue popped up and I was told my contract was on hold for 2 weeks until the end of the year when he decides if he wants me or not.
I love my job, you guys have seen me grow here on these posts, and I love my students. But it's 3 years and I'm tired. Tired of the angry parents and my principal always behind my back, never supporting me.
So I turned it in, and I'm leaving at the end of the year.
Thank you all SOOO much for the support these past 3 years. I'm currently looking for work in the Houston area, so hopefully something pops up, but until then, you may not see me here as much as you used to.
Love you all!

It's been kinda hectic.
During Spring Break my principal was wanting me to do screenings in his way, and me having anxiety, freaked out. I emailed my Head Nurse and she went to help me out by emailing his superiors, who chewed him out. He got SO mad and he told me that if I can't finish the screenings, then I can go.
I sucked it up and got done before the due date. I also tried fixing my mistakes of being late and such (due to my kids because they go on the bus by themselves without anyone watching them).
I had such a good month last month, no issues and was doing my job right.
Then this month, parents are just coming in droves, angry about stuff! And this one parent said her child has a mild concussion. I didn't know! The student came in for a headache, and her TA never knew either! I asked the student and assessed, and all I got out of it that she was fine, just a headache. I let the kid rest, she woke up and said she felt much better. I sent her back asking the TA to send her back if she is not feeling well. The student never came back and later at the end of the week, the mom comes in with this. And I apologized and such and I thought it was done until the father emailed the principal and he got involved. He told me I needed to call parents for everything, but protocol says no, it's only in emergencies and this was not an emergency because no one knew this happened.
So instead, the teacher gets off with a warning, the TA does too but me? My contract is on hold for 2 weeks, and he decides if I leave or go.
My principal has never had my back and I honestly did my best with this student, I feel bad that this happened, but how was I suppose to know she got hurt? NO one saw this.
So I resigned.

Wow, sounds like a bad situation. It sounds like it's a good decision to move on, you get to leave on your own term. I wish you the best. Please let us know where you end up. Good luck!
