ICU Stepdown PCCN certification

For those of you studying for the PCCN or have passed their PCCN--has it helped you in your practice? I'll be starting in an ICU Stepdown unit and this certification exam looks appealing to me. My employer doesn't pay for the exam or offer a pay bonus, so it's pure geekiness and desire to have a better grasp of caring for my patients that drives me ;)

Any input is appreciated!

I'm studying for the CCRN and I think it makes a difference in my critical care practice! Anytime you study and learn more information, you're going to better yourself. I'm a total nerd too, so I say go for it! :)
