I went for my interview today at a psych hospital...How does it compare to yours?

As an RN there are 16 in a unit that I am in charge of, but only 8 do I have to chart on. There is a Med Nurse and so I don't pass meds. The base pay is $27.50 plus night and weekend bonuses.

How does this compare to yours?

Similar to mine but I'm the only RN for up to 12 kids and do it all from meds to floor to admits and discharges. Responsible for half the documentation as well.

Responsible for up to half of the assessments and charting (the reality: sometimes more than half, sometimes less. Depends on how many other nurses are on that day). I could be charge, meds or both depending on census and staffing. If I'm charge, then I get to do any admissions or discharges. You get paid better than I do.
