For most community colleges in Illinois, you have to have your CNA license as a prerequisite. I am sure your holistic experience will bring an advantage when you start clincals since you already have some patient interaction. Good luck with your future. I took the CNA class last summer and I loved it. I did my clinicals at a LTC facility and everyone there was so nice. I learned so much!

Hello Fellow Student Nurses and All registered Nurses ,
I am a 35 year old female in Illinois . I anticipate starting the ADN prereq's at South Suburban College this coming March . The math is the only real fear I have . I am truely determined to use my background in Holistic Care in conjunction with the Medical training I am about to recieve to help make a difference in peoples quality of life . Now I am certain this wont be all peaches and cream , but I'd like to go about this as if it were;) . I would like to hear some of you alls experiences good and bad . I notice that part of the prerequisites at my school is CNA escrow I wonder if that means that i will have to go through CNA traing as a part of the prereq's . I am excited about it all . And Again i'd like to hear from you all and Thank You for taking the time to read and respond to my post.
