what should I study to pass nclex pn?

Published

I need help... I graduated from pn school almost 3years ago and I feel lost. I tried the nclex test once but did not pass. I felt discouraged and disappointed that now that I want to get back into the study mode, I don't know where to start, what did you do to pass? any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Do lots of practice questions thats how i passed nclex pn this april. Understand y it is wrong and right. If u dont know about it scan ur book and read. I used the saunders pn cd and ATI. I answered almost 2500+ questions. Apply testing strategies it will help u a lot. Promise! Goodluck

I haven't passed my NCLEX-PN yet and it's been 2 years for me. I'm on my third trial right now but what I did this time differently was picked a review program. I'm currently using Hurst Review for content and Kaplan Qbank for questions.

My advice for you would be to find out the areas you're weak in. Do you feel like you need to do more questions? Do you think you need to refresh yourself on content? Ask yourself those questions. Do your research on different reviews and find out which one will work for you. Once you do all of that, believe in yourself and KNOW that you can defeat this exam! I hope this helps.

I wish you well and God bless. Good luck studying! :)

Thanks for the advise, I will definitely work on doing lots of questions. So how many questions do you think is good to do in a day, without overdoing it? How did you fit in your schedule all those questions?

Thanks for your advise, you know I have been thinking of getting a review program since its been about 3 years since school, but they are so many and not sure. Also some are way to out of my budget right now. How do you like the Hurst review?

One thing you said is very true, we have to believe in ourselves and know we can do this, wish you the best and good luck to you too.

You're welcome. I can definitely understand what you mean when it comes to budget. Failing two times, and constantly having to repay fees to test for this exam can be very stressful. The first two times I took NCLEX, I didn't have a review program in place. I'm thinking maybe if I did, I possibly could have passed the first time. I will say this though, even though it may not be in your budget right now, it could definitely be an investment and something that will be a great reward in the end.

I love Hurst Review! I'm so glad that I found it. It's really given me a new perspective on NCLEX and I know I will pass the exam the next time I take it. Try researching Hurst! I see why so many people recommend this review.

Thanks so much though, and I have faith you will pass your exam! ;)
