Student, here in Houston. So far I have saved a bunch of money on textbooks and actually have come out ahead of most of the others in my class.

My first semester I purchased a box of books that included all of the textbooks in print and then all of the books electronically.

After loading the electronic books, I realized that it was everything in the print copy plus I could cut and paste and make notes. so once I was comfortable with the electronic version which took about a week.

, I turned around and sold all of the print books (which were still in new condition on Half.com. My package cost well over $600 but after selling the books on Half.com I ended up paying only $60 for over $600 dollars of books. There were some books that were not in the package but the majority of the books were Mosby and Saunders.

This year the faculty handed out a link to purchase the books online for 20% off and free shipping. One of the students told me that there were packages on there that were already discounted with text and study guides deals and text and simulation deals. I went on and after purchased my books and save well more than 20% because shipping was free. I did have to use a code with the site that the faculty handed out. The site was http://www.elsevierhealth.com/nursing.

the code I used was dm92790.

I just received an email from a friend that is also in nursing school at a different and they have the same code. So it should be good to go.

.

The faculty said that some of the clinical sites were planning to purchase books from this site because it was better pricing than any other site.

Most of us have purchase the books from a store down the street but this save us a lot of money. I sold my last semester books that I would n't need on half and had more than enough to buy this semesters books.

School starts next week and then it is back to the long days and clinicals.

good luck to all this semester.

I did have a faculty member tell me that old editions of books have outdated info that could be a problem if you rely on procedures that have changed . Here in Texas we have to take a new test on legal .
