Most diseases would qualify as the care providers almost always have choices to make. Here are a few examples.

1. Pre-diabetes -- Should the person test their blood glucose daily at home? ... or ... Should they just be given diet and exercise instructions and have their blood glucose checked every 3 or 4 months? Should borderline diabetics be placed on medications or not? etc.

2. High cholesterol that is not extreme -- Should the patient be on medications? ... or ... should they try just diet and exercise?

3. Obesity -- there are LOTS of different options for treatment

4. Cancer that is probably terminal -- Alternative treatments? Maximum chemo and radiation? Palliative care only? Some combination of treatments?

I could go on and on. There are almost always choices to be made. Pick the choice that interests you most. If you are a nursing student ... I would recommend choosing a situation which involves nursing care and not just medical decision-making.
