Hey everyone Im going to school at Kingwood College and was wondering if there was anyone out there who could give me a little advise because Im a litle confused. Ok Im not doing so well in English 1301. The last day to drop the class is April 10th.If I drop before the drop date, what happens then? Do I get my money back for the class and do I have a nother chance in retaking the class all over again? What if I drop the class after the drop date? And is that going to stay in my records? That Im a drop out? And another thing, What is the GPA needed to get accepted? Im really trying as hard as I can although Im a mother of 3 and I know what I want in life and it's to become a Nurse.:yeah:I know I have a lot coming but Im willing to do what it takes to reach my goal :nurse:and make my family proud! Thanks yall!!:)

Hi If you enrolled in a college as a first time freshman in the fall 2007 semester or later they have a 6 course drop limit. It won't effect you to drop that course and you can take it again.I would reccomend you to go on ratemyprofessor.com to find out about a teacher before you take their class. Also, have your papers proofread by a tutor or another English faculty member.I had went to English faculty staff all the time to proof read my papers when I took it back in 2001 straight out of highschool. There wasnt tutors back then like it is now.
The GPA for the RN program is a 2.5 and the LVN is 2.0.For the RN u take 30 core courses for 4 points.English 1301 A&P 1 or 2 amd Psyc 1301 averaged for up to 4 points, and your hesi Reading score for the rest of your points.A total of up to 12 points.LVN English 1301 complete math 308 or higher and the only course needed is Intro to A&P up to 4 points for an A,and the rest of the points come from your Hesi Reading and Math Score combined divided by 50.Totaling up to 8 points.
Thanks for the helpful info! :) Oh I did go to ratemyprofessor.com but my instructor isn't on there! It's Mrs. C. Cedillos (english 1301). Maybe she married and her last name was different before? lol
Hi,every instructor is not going to be on there. The purpose is to look up the instructor's for the subject you want to take in order to choose them. The nursing teachers are not on there at all for Lonestar college. My Anatomy teacher told the class to go on rate my professor to find out about him ,but I did that before I chose him.
