I did awful my first quarter in college with 4 D's and a B. The work load was a lot more than I expected, but I'm positive I'll do better the next quarter. My question is if I retake the classes I failed, will the nusring program look at all the grades for the classes or only the higher grade.

That depends on the school. Some take the highest. Some take the first only so take the average. You should ask the school you plan to apply to what their.policy is

It depends on the program. I would read the nursing school handbook for your school. It should spell it out in there.
