HURST REVIEW

Anyone taking the hurst review that recently took the NCLEX??

Any tips on how to study the material?? Please help

Lets see, I heard every audio along filling out the blanks..Do it one section at a time until you know it by hard. Concentrate one by one, once you cover F&E section go over questions on that specific (Saunders/Lacharity)..I went over the packet like 3-4x...I had to take the NCLEX 3x..Hurst doesn't cover all the diseases, so I make sure I read Saunders as well. You are NOT going to know everything..As long as you know the basics on each topic more or less, you will be fine..there alot of 5th day material..since I rant out of time, I only went the main meds and the areas I am weak..its a process to get everything done buy you can do it:)..trust me it was a long journey for me but it was all worthy..God know what he is doing..make a schedule and do your best to follow it..Make sure you TONS of questions!!...I did close to 5000 questions from my 1st attempt to the 3rd, trust me there were days were I just to drop the towel, but I DID NOT GIVE UP...If you need a friend I am here for you:)...BE CONFIDENT, READ 'EVERY' WORD IN THE QUESTION, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND PRETEND YOU ARE IN THAT PARTICULAR SCENARIO, TREAT SATA AS TRUE/FALSE OR YES/NO, YOU GOT THIS...BEST OF LUCK..GOD BLESS:):):)

So sorry, so many typos..I meant to say by heart not hard..lol..I am in the job hunting process right now, I cannot lie I am absolutely drained ..lol..hope you can understand it :/..oops

Thanks Sasha! Yup that's what I am doing right now, I am building my trust with the program that it will really help me thru. I am planning to take mine in June. My only problem right now is time since I am working 40/week and I feel tired after. Lately, I am building a momentum with my studies. Is the nclex difficult? I mean when you do practice questions is it somehow similar with the real nclex?

Hurst is a great review. I took the review and passed the NCLEX in Jan 2014. I was working 40 hrs a week also, teaching part-time at a career school, and have 2 young kids but I made a schedule and studied daily. Just make sure you know the material well and when you study know the WHY behind everything. The videos are excellent watch them over and over. Im sure you will do well. I also used the Saunders comprehensive review book and Q&A book. So good luck, im sure you will do well.

thank you!!! Did it feel that it covered the exam when you took it?

As Johnson said just review the videos over and over. Till the point you can answer the worksheets on your own without the video. I like the Hurst's content review more than Kaplan.

People complain about the accent on them but they're not bad and actually add life to the videos:roflmao:

Yes it covered the important content areas very well. The Saunders Review and Q&As were awesome

I am using hurst review for content and just reading over the notes I took from lecture. Then using Saunders q and a and Kaplan for questions
