Hunter nursing 2021

Published

Hey, I am currently studying for the NLN exam and I plan on taking the test next month.

I am afraid that when I take the test, I won't get a good composite score because I'm not very confident in the verbal section. (I really suck at vocab, so I think that I will do well.) I am also afraid of the reading comprehension part of the verbal section because there is so little time when there is a lot to read. The only thing is that I am confident in the math section and feel okay about the science section.

What are some tips from those who are currently in the program or those who already took the test? How do you do well in the verbal section? What do you suggest as some studying sources to do well in the science section?

I have the red book, but I don't think that it is enough. The science content in the book was okay, but it doesn't cover everything. What were some science concepts that you saw in the test that was not covered in the book?

Hey! Did you receive your score? I got 131 on the test and got 3.96 GPA,

The verbal section was tough! And may I ask what's your GPA?

Hi @DaniellaC. I took the test last week. I got 141 and my GPA is 4.

I agree. I just skimmed through the verbal section and I was very surprised that I got over two-thirds of the questions right.

@DaniellaC Are you also going for Hunter's generic nursing or are you going for the A2D or RN to BSN?

Yeah. I don’t know what to think, I’ve been reading about the previous years and the NLN scores are pretty high, I hope my GPA can help.

and I applied to the generic program, what about you?

@DaniellaC It's the reason why everyone kept on saying Hunter's nursing program are competitive because people have such high stats.

I am applying to the generic program. I hope that we get in.

My academic advisor said that we might hear back in May and if not, by June. Last year, people heard back in June so I also expect to hear back at around that time.

Yeah!! I am so nervous OMG. Hopefully we get in!!
