Does anyone know about the 12 month time limit within which you have to complete HPRS 1204.
If I am applying for fall 2011 and the deadline for application is february 2011
do they look at the 12 month time limit for HPRS 1204 from application deadline date (February 31)
or the first day of class in August?????
thank you.....

below is from the el centro adn packet and i believe it states it goes by the application period. however, i would contact the school to make sure or if there are any exceptions if you calculate you are outside the 12 month period.
hprs 1204 is offered at the el centro and northlake college campuses only and should be completed no earlier than twelve months prior to their anticipated application to the associate degree nursing program. for example, an hprs 1204 course completed in fall 2008 would still be valid for application to the fall 2010 nursing class since the course was completed before the application filing period (nov. 1 - feb. 28) ended. for application to spring 2011, an hprs 1204 course completed spring 2009 would still be valid.

the new packet (updated 12/16/2010) states that "students who completed hprs 1204 more than one year but less than three years prior to anticipated entry to the nursing program or who complete hprs at another campus other than el centro and northlake colleges may be eligible to enroll in a continuing education check-off course in lieu of repeating hprs 1204. contact the health occupations core curriculum coordinator at [email protected] for more information."
i sent an email today and this is the response i got from dianna drury:
"i will be on campus jan 10th - please email me then to verify the date of your hprs 1204 class. i will then send you information on hprs 1091 - the check-off course"
you can find the latest pdf version of the nursing packet here:
