Hello everyone!
I'm Melissa and I started my part-time evening program on August 5,2013. It has been going well thus far. I don't attend a traditional tech or college class and this is the first LPN class at my school. All the students are working adults, so we all have that in common.
We've attended 2 clinical sites, I prefer the nursing home over the hospital setting. I'm currently in A/P, with 3 more chapters to go and I've passed all my test except 2.
It kinda feels surreal that I'm actually doing it, but I am and I will continue on until the end.
Please share any experiences you may have encountered in this process to help another.
Thanks in advance!

I started Sept 30th and 2 weeks left!!! And boy us it crunch time! We have to tarted clinicals and won't till next month. How are clinicals and lab for you? I volunteer at a rehab facility and so far I think rehab is where I would want to go in my career. I am nervous about starting clinicals and lab and what to expect though!:)

Hi! I am almost done with block 1 of my program. I started in August. I am excited to start block 2. I have heard that it is the most difficult. We will get to go to the hospital finally! Good luck on your journey!
Thanks for sharing ladies...continue to hang in there it will hopefully be over soon.
Things are really quiet around here lately.
I am now in my last term and hoping to complete it successfully. How is it going for you ladies?
Hello,
And you will! It is going well but I definitely will be glad when it's over.
Currently in med/surg with only next month to go....we haven't started on pharm yet. They guesstimate we'll finish the end of September. Will be doing a HESI tonight, but not the official one.
Just noticed your in Fort Lauderdale also, what school do you attend and which clinical sites? Here Manor care Boca and Kindred Hollywood.
I never thought I would get this far with all I had on my plate when I started, but I have and I will finish successfully! It is jump off a bridge hard but it is time consuming and a lot to swallow as many before me has said.
Share what you're up to?
Take care!
I attend Atlantic Technical. I know for this term we will be doing a clinic, North Broward, home health and hospice. Not sure exactly where as yet. We don't start for at least another week. Good luck on the HESI when you take it! I just did Pharm and Med-Surg HESI. It wasn't too bad.
I am glad that you are still hanging in there. It is a struggle, but we are almost there. I can't wait to finish and start working.
