here is a sample question:

All of the following statements regarding the pathophysiology of the adrenal glands in a patients with addison's disease are true. which one is incorrect:

1. untreated addison's disease is ultimately fatal because it destroys the adrenal cortex, thereby causing sever deficiencies in the vital adrenocortical hormones.

2.as a result of addison's disease, the adrenal medulla takes over the functions previously assumed by the adrenal cortex in a effort to overcome the severe deficiencies of adrenocortical hormones which are essential to life.

3.in addison's disease the adrenal medulla continues to function normally, but the cortex eventually collapses.

4aldosterone deficiency is a result of addison's disease causing an increase in sodium excretion with the development of hypotension.
