How to work remotely, abroad.

I'm an experienced RN and have been researching remote RN positions, there are a lot of them! However, it looks like, at first glance, they mostly require you to be in the same state, or at least the US in general. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about working for a US company while living, say, in Europe?

What do you mean? If you prefer working Abroad you need to apply for Working Visa as a Nurse.Usually, they call it,H1B Visa or Inter country Visa. The European Counsel had it's own policy given priorities to Overseas Nurses. The main task you need to do is to search on the internet what are the requirements of Immigration.I hope this helps.

Grace,

Sorry if the post was confusing.  I am aware of the need for work visas and acquiring the appropriate licensure if you plan to work as a nurse in a different country.  What my post was inquiring about was if anyone was aware of any US based companies that allow remote work outside of US boarders.  This is more similar to how tech companies and others have more of a “digital nomad” approach allowing there to staff to work anywhere.  Hopefully that clears up a little what the original post was referring too.  Thanks anyways for replying.

Look into government contracting as an RN on military bases or apply to usajobs for a GS position overseas, although they may give spousal preference to military spouses living over seas over a non military spouse but this could be an option for you to look into.

Jen,

Any luck with transitioning to remote nursing while living in Europe?

Best,

Kirsten
