How do you stay motivated?

I've been in school a little over two years now and I've been pretty focused about keeping my eyes on the prize but now that I'm getting so close to applying for the actual nursing program it's like I'm getting cold feet. Maybe I need to get myself back on my workout routine or something but Nursing is what I've always wanted to do. Maybe it's the fear of getting my ADN and not being able to find employment but after I get my ADN, I will be looking into an ADN to BSN program. Any suggestions about what works for you and how your getting through it. Also different study methods on how to remember stuff from A&P would help too. Comments & Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I suggest becoming a CNA part time at your local hospital. Being in the hospital setting is very beneficial preceding your nursing degree for many reasons. For one, you're in the hospital setting and are establishing relationships with nurses, supervisors, managers, etc. This may help you get a job on the floor in the future. In addition, it will really give you an idea of what nursing is all about/if its for you, etc. Lastly, it will help you immensely in nursing school. I was a CNA for three years before I began nursing school and I was at such an advantage. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks yea that's part of my dilemma. I've been trying to find a p/t job but it seems that its harder to find a p/t job vs. a full time job bc i've gotten so many offers for a full time jobs but i guess its the way my school schedules set up this semester. Well I only have a couple more wks before the semester is over so maybe I'll just wait it out.
