Has the price of gas affected your agency or practice?
I see quite a few ads for home health nurses in the paper today - it seems more than in the past.

Two nurses recently quite one of my cases because it was just too much gas to get to and from. They both demand cases closer to home or they will quite. Gees, don't let the door hit ya....

You should see it from my point of view....I live 40 miles, ONE WAY, from where I work.....and I work 4 days a week!

I have to drive several hundred miles a week for my work, so these rising prices present a real hardship for me. Of course, they won't even consider increasing the mileage reimbursement rate :/ I am subsidizing my own travel, and I certainly don't earn enough money to have to do that, but I like my job, so I'm going to wait it out. Fortunately, I do drive a small car.
