How much do you make? I make

I make $27 something as a Maryland RN with 2.5 years exp. I am looking to see if that is truly comepetitive or not. I work straight day shift, full time. Thanks

I make $20.49/hr with 3 years (ICU included) experience...welcome to IOWA!!!! I believe Iowa is one of the lowest ranked for RN wages. I live in Illinois and commute to Iowa (15 minutes across the bridge) because the hospitals on the Illinois side pay the same or less and they have a bad reputation. Maybe I should move!? :banghead:

BTW my sister will graduate in May and if she gets hired at my hospital, she will wind up making about 70 cents an hour more than me because of shift differential...yep...:banghead:

I am in Maryland, with a little over one year experience - recently got a raise/promotion. I will just say that I make less than you. At my next eval, at two years, it is very unlikely I will be up to what you make. So yes, I'd say it's very competitive.

I make $25.90 as a new grad. This is at a community hospital in MD. I am told the yearly cloa increase is 2%. This year is was about .40.

I have a question. When you say you make, for example $21/hr. Is that the rate before or after taxes are withdrawn?

the hourly wage is generally the base rate, no taxes taken out, and that does not include differential pay for evenings, nights, and/or weekends. for example, working evening hours will add $3.20 onto the base rate/hour.

Hello: community hospital in MD (Harbor).. $29.75 per hour.. RN for 4 years/LPN for 8.. They counted half of LPN time for RN. So I got an extra

4 years of experience added to the new grad rate which is about 22-23 per hour.. Hope that helps... take care...
