How many years an RN before entering CRNA school?

I am doing some life planning (I must do this because we relocate occasionally) and am wondering if I could get some feedback from CRNAs:

How long were you an RN before you started CRNA school?

I would like to know the minimum number of years experience that will actually get you into a CRNA school. I know that 2 years is the stated minimum for some, but come on... with all the competition, what is realistic?
